Exolution is an inspection application for equipment in hazardous areas, used by inspection engineers on behalf of their employer or client. This policy explains what personal information the app and dashboard collect, why, who it is shared with, and how to have it removed.
Exolution is a business tool, not a consumer app. Accounts are created by an administrator at the company you work for or with. Inspection records belong to that company and are kept as safety documentation.
Yossi Shapira Ltd, Israel, is the controller of account information. For the inspection records themselves, the customer company that commissioned the inspection is the controller, and Exolution processes that data on their behalf.

| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, phone number, job role, company | To create your account, sign you in, and show colleagues who performed an inspection. |
| Photographs of equipment taken during an inspection | Evidence attached to the inspection record. |
| Precise location (GPS) recorded with an inspected item | To identify where each piece of equipment is installed on site. |
| Inspection content: equipment details, answers, findings, comments, timestamps | The inspection record and the report produced from it. |
| Photographs of equipment labels, the text read from them, and the automated reading | To fill in equipment details automatically and to improve that feature's accuracy. |
| Activity records (who created or changed a session, facility or user, and when) | Security, troubleshooting, and an audit trail. |
We do not collect advertising identifiers, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell personal information.
The app asks for precise location only to tag inspected equipment. It is recorded when you inspect an item, while the app is open. It is not collected in the background, and you can refuse the permission — the app still works, without coordinates on the item.
| Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase / Google Cloud) | Hosting, database, file storage, sign-in, SMS verification codes. |
| OpenAI | Reading equipment labels from a photograph. The photograph and the text read from it are sent for this purpose. |
| Anthropic | Building the manufacturer equipment catalogue from public vendor documents. No inspection or personal data is sent. |
| The customer company you inspect for | Inspection records, reports and the identity of the inspector. |
We do not share personal information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
The database is held in Israel. Photographs, report files and server processing are currently held in the United States on Google Cloud. Google acts as our processor under its own data protection terms.
Account information is kept while your account is active. Inspection records and their reports are kept for as long as the customer company requires them as safety documentation, and may be retained after an individual account is closed, because they are records of work performed rather than personal profiles.
We are in the process of introducing defined retention periods for activity records and for label photographs used to improve automatic reading. Until then those are retained for the life of the service. If you need a specific retention commitment, contact us.
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also object to how we use it, or ask for a copy. Write to contacts@exolution-lab.com and we will answer within 30 days.
To close your account and have your personal details removed, see Deleting your account.
Access is limited to your own company's data, enforced on our servers rather than in the app. Files and traffic are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access by Exolution staff is limited to the people who support the service.
Exolution is a workplace tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell account administrators where the change is significant.
